About Us

We developed a partnership with Norwich City Community Sports Foundation in 2016 that has grown to incorporate a host of services to support the successful foundation.   We have supported their development of an apprenticeship programme to create clear pathways for their workforce that gives their staff the knowledge, skills and behaviours to work in the industry. This has predominantly focussed on the development of coaching staff to work on the foundation's programmes working in schools and the local community....

In addition to the apprenticeship programmes, we supported in the upskilling and training of the workforce through course delivery and specific qualifications such as the 1st4sport Level 2 Award/Certificate in Multi-Skills Development in Sport and the Level 2 Coaching Games for Understanding. Senior staff were enrolled onto tutoring and assessing qualifications to allow them to develop personally and broaden their education and teaching services.  We are now working with the foundation on an annual training plan, built out of a training needs analysis. This plan is bespoke to the foundation and identifies the skills gaps both on an individual basis as well as an organisational basis. We now have a strong partnership that delivers a long-term and sustainable development programme that supports the growth of the foundation and meet its specific training needs....

One of the key takeaways from this project was our increased awareness on how sports organisations can utilise apprenticeships across the whole of their workforce not just for new staff.  As a result of our work with the foundation this has led to us supporting organisations to complete a bespoke training needs analysis that identifies their internal skills gaps and develops a plan to fulfill these needs through a variety of training, CPD and apprenticeships....
