Summary:
Sport Structures were contracted to review the status of coach licensing across the sport and recommend action for the future.
Approach:
Sport Structures carried out a review of the system through the web-based licensing system www.fishcoach.org. This identified differences between NGB databases and the licensed coach database. As part of the review Sport Structures bench-marked the system against the SCUK World Class Coaching Scheme. The interim report identified potential action to develop the coaching system to become an effective coach management system. Further consultation was developed with coaching associations and representative groups and a model for the future was developed.
Outcome:
Angling were presented with a sport and business plan for the future development, management and administration of coaches across the three Governing Bodies.
